The Unseen
Summary
Two posters that reduce instinct to a single visual rule. Solo, spring 2022. The rule comes straight from the root of the Korean word for instinct: to prick and provoke a reaction.
The work
One rule only: a force that pricks, and a body that answers. The two posters stack vertically so the force reads as passing from the upper sheet to the lower one, and the pair reads as one series.
Reflection
Drawing something invisible meant cutting the idea down to one rule. I checked whether the rule persuaded before checking whether the sheet looked good.
